A new brand which was introduced only in 1966, Cohiba quickly became the flagship brand of the Cuban cigar industry, developed initially as a cigar for presentation only by officials of the Cuban government which Fidel Castro enjoyed the most. From 1982 the brand was offered to the public. Cohiba line includes Siglo, Lancero, Especiale and Panetela; especially popular for their medium bodied and full flavoured cigars.
